Macon, Georgia – Mary Louise Williams Ross, 100, passed away peacefully in the arms of her Savior on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Her beaming smile, gentle manners and loving heart will be missed by so many. A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Park Memorial Chapel, Mercer University Drive with Dr. Morgan Kerr as officiant. The family will welcome friends on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms Ross was a longtime resident of Macon and a member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church where she served the Lord by leading classes for youth in Sunday School, singing in the choir and helping people in need by organizing charitable and mission activities and volunteering at the Interfaith Food Bank. She retired after working for over 30 years at BellSouth where she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Louise was born in Macon to the late William Alpha Willams and Evie Hammock Williams. She was predeceased by her 63-year-old husband Wilbur Lee Ross; daughter, Charlene Vanderhoff; and siblings; Lucille Sutley, Howard Williams and Vera Bailey.
She is survived by her son, Steve Ross of Azle, Texas; daughter, Cheryl Lee of Signal Hill, California; small children; Allison (Joe) Thomas of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jennifer Vanderhoff of Macon, GA, Zachary Lee Ross of San Antonio, Texas and John Patrick Ross of Azle, Texas; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth Thomas.
The family is grateful to Nunea Leghorn who looked after Ms. Ross for several years as well as the residents, helpers and staff of John Wesley Villas.
