Nippon Telegraph and Telephone’s IT recruitment activity drops 2.4% in March 2022

IT hiring at Japan’s Nippon Telegraph and Telephone fell 2.4% in March 2022 from the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased 0.33% in March 2022 compared to February 2022.

IT jobs accounted for 48.42% of the company’s total hiring activity in March 2022 and were down 4.87% from the average share for the past three months.

Of the total number of IT job titles posted by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the top occupation, registering a share of 58.68% in March 2022 and a decline of 3.15% from Feb 2022, while Computer Support specialists claimed a 22.66% share in March 2022 and recorded a decline of 2.68%. Database and network administrators and architects held a 9.77% share in March 2022, up 20.67% from February 2022.

Asia-Pacific Boosts IT Recruitment at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone

Asia-Pacific became the top region for global IT recruitment activity in March 2022 with a share of 52.8%, up 5.2% from to the previous month.

North America is next with 38.05%, registering a growth of 7.13% month-on-month. Europe was the third leading region with a share of 7.55% and a decrease of 28.41% compared to February 2022.

South and Central America was in fourth place with a share of 1.21% and a monthly decline of 16.22%. The Middle East and Africa is at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.39%, registering an increase of 66.67% compared to the previous month.

India was prominent in the region’s tech industry IT recruitment activity with a share of 50.93% in March 2022, a growth of 6.43% from February 2022. The United States was next with a share of 30.88%, up 2.19% from the previous month. Canada recorded a share of 5.18%, an increase of 54.65% from February 2022.

Junior-level jobs held a share of 58.76%, up 6.87% from February 2022. Mid-level positions with a share of 23.91%, up 8.1% from February 2022. compared to the previous month.

In third place were entry-level job advertisements with 16.24% market share, down 17.91% from February 2022, while senior job advertisements accounted for 1.09%, registering a monthly increase of 3.7%.
