IT hiring at Japan’s Nippon Telegraph and Telephone was down 9.7% in July 2022 from the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity was down 9.08% in July 2022 compared to June 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 37.73% share of the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022 and grew by 0.98% compared to the average share of the past three months.

Computer and information analysts held a 15.53% share in July 2022, down 28.97% from June 2022.

Asia-Pacific became the top region for global IT recruitment activity in July 2022 with a share of 56.28%, down 29.27% ​​from the month previous.

North America comes next with 33.98%, registering a 9.4% decrease month-on-month. Europe was the third leading region with a share of 8.2% and a decrease of 34.93% compared to June 2022.

South and Central America was in fourth place with a share of 1.16% and a monthly increase of 31.25%. The Middle East and Africa sits at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.39%, registering an increase of 75% compared to the previous month.
