Mimaki adds a new 3 liter ink tank for the JFX600-2513 printer

Mimaki says its new 3 liter external ink supply option for the Mimaki JFX600-2513 large format flatbed UV inkjet printer will reduce downtime and increase productivity. Plus, a reminder that Mimaki’s Global Innovation Days are coming back this week.

“This new ink system was designed to allow JFX600-2513 customers to maximize production efficiency and improve automation for a more streamlined and productive printing operation,” said Mimaki. “The system even allows ink replenishment during the printing process, further reducing printer downtime and improving productivity.”

This optional unit will be available worldwide in January 2023, having made its debut at Viscom Italia 2022 in Milan, Italy (October 13-15).

“The 3 liter ink system was developed with one of Mimaki’s primary goals for the future of its cutting-edge technology portfolio: to support the automation of its customers’ printing processes. An automatic white ink circulation system included in the 3 liter ink unit eliminates the need for manual shaking. Additionally, weight sensors allow operators to more accurately measure the JFX600-2513’s remaining ink levels, avoiding unnecessary ink waste.

The JFX600-2513 printers (shown above) are also compatible with the Mimaki MDL command, allowing customers to communicate with their print production systems or peripherals via IoT protocols. The MDL command enables the automated operation of the respective printing processes, such as the transport of print media. In combination with the new 3 liter ink option, the MDL command will support intensive, continuous and automated print sessions.

Mark Sollman, EMEA Product Manager, Mimaki Europe: “Being able to connect technology better, make it more intuitive and enable a more seamless and efficient transition from when a customer places an order to delivery has clear long-term business benefits. . An automated workflow allows printers to improve their production processes, reducing delivery times and allowing them to increase production capacity to take on new business. With this new 3 liter ink unit, JFX600-2513 customers can further reduce downtime and speed up delivery times, especially in high-volume printing environments, helping them become more efficient, versatile and profitable.

Designed for high-volume print productions, the Mimaki JFX600-2513 large format UV flatbed inkjet printer is built for efficiency and productivity with its 16 printheads and maximum output size of 2500 mm x 1300 mm x 60 mm, corresponding to 4X8 plates (1220 mm x 2440 mm). Capable of printing directly onto a wide variety of substrates including resin, glass and metal, and of course large format signs, the printer can accept substrates up to 60mm thick. The JFX600-2513 also features 2.5D printing (multiple ink application) allowing layers of UV ink to be printed to create a textured surface for use in higher value printing applications.

Meanwhile, Mimaki’s popular Global Innovation Days event returns this week, October 19-21. This collaborative virtual experience brings together Mimaki’s regional offices, including Australia, to discuss trends across the various US, Asian and European markets and regions operated by Mimaki.
